The Government directs the implementation of administrative procedures and the provision of online public services

On September 29, the Government Office issued Official Letter 6966/VPCP- KSTT conveying the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam on the implementation of administrative procedures and the provision of online public services.

Specifically, considering the proposal of the Government Office on the situation and results of administrative procedures settlement and online public service provision, especially administrative procedure data without arising dossiers in the last three years, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam requested ministers and heads of ministerial-level agencies; Chairmen of the People's Committees of the provinces and centrally run cities to well perform the review, assessment and restructuring of administrative processes and procedures as the basis for the construction of online public services, in which, no new online public services at levels 3 and 4 have been introduced for administrative procedures since 2018 until now (including in-person, online and postal reception) to ensure efficiency, economical factors and to avoid waste.

The Deputy Prime Minister also requested ministries and ministerial-level agencies to focus on reviewing, amending, replacing or abolishing administrative procedures from 2018 until now without generating dossiers to be suitable with reality, and report to the Prime Minister before December 31, 2021.

According to statistics of the Government Office, the number of administrative procedures without arising dossiers from 2018 until now need to focus on reviewing is as follows: in the field of culture, sports and tourism - 148; construction - 14; health - 120; industry and trade - 93; education and training - 66; finance - 27; transportation - 48; planning and investment - 23; fields under the management of the State Bank - 114; natural resources and environment - 30; information and communication - 25; justice - 58; science and technology - 76; labor, war invalids and social affairs - 41; diplomacy - 4; internal affairs - 32; agriculture and rural development - 103.
