Labor training support for enterprises under the 2025 Employment Law

From January 1st 2026, agencies, enterprises shall receive significant support from Unemployment Insurance (UI) Fund on educating and enhancing laborer’s vocational skills in case of bad effect on employment from natural disasters, fires, wars or dangerous epidemics.
The important point is detailed at the Law on Employment 2025 and approved on June 16th 2025, effective on January 1st 2026.

According to Article 42 of the 2025 Law on Employment, employers shall receive support when the employment of multiple workers participating in UI is affected, including the following circumstances:
- Restructuring, technology change or economic reasons as denfined in the Labor Code.
- Natural disasters, fires, wars or dangerous epidemics.
- Complying with the competent agencies’ decision on relocating or downsizing a business location.
- Other cases under the Government’s regulations.
To enjoy the support, units and enterprises must satisfy the following conditions:
- To participate in UI scheme from 12 months within 24 months counted up to time of the support request.
- To make a feasible plan on vocational training and skill enhancement for the stable employment.
