VN commits to more favorable business environment

Viet Nam has important position in the world supply chain, said Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung.

Deputy PM Dung made the point on November 26 at the Asia Economic Cooperation Forum (Horasis 2018).

The forum was jointly hosted by the provincial People’s Committee of Binh Duong, Horasis Group, and Becamex Group.

Important supply chain 

Deputy PM Dung briefed investors about socio-economic development in Viet Nam. After 30 years of renovation, Viet Nam attained impressive economic growth rates which were praised by the international community as an example of a successful economy.

Viet Nam’s average economic growth reached 6.63% in the 1986-2017 period. The economy expanded by 6.81% in 2017. The economy was forecast to increase by 6.7%. Viet Nam entered the group of countries with the highest growth rates.

In addition, Viet Nam extremely attaches importance to growth quality.

The Vietnamese Government commits to ensuring economic stability, higher investment efficiency, sustainable poverty reduction, environmental protection, social advance and equality, protection of human rights, asset ownership, freedom to do business, and creative encouragement, he said.

Advancing strong business startup and creation

The Government will continue to improve the business environment; remove business hindrances; and spare no effort to enter leading groups in ASEAN towards OECD in competitiveness.

In addition, the Government has conducted a series of measure to make practical changes in economic restructuring, growth modal transformation.

Deputy PM Dung hoped that the forum would make clear Asian visions; figure out impact factors of Asian future and respective country’s responsibilities.
