Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Tran Van Thuan emphasized that this was the most complex case ever carried out in Viet Nam, marking a milestone in expertise in the field of fetal medicine.

The intervention not only provided a life-saving opportunity for a fetus that was predicted to die in the womb but also showcased the intellect, compassion, and aspiration to reach the pinnacle of medical science of Viet Nam's medical team.

This is considered a significant milestone, ushering fetal medicine in Viet Nam into a new phase of development.

This success demonstrates that Viet Nam's medical team is fully capable of mastering and pioneering the application of highly specialized techniques – techniques that were once only deployed at leading medical centers across developed economies.

The Deputy Minister affirmed that this is a vivid example of the potential development of fetal medicine in Viet Nam, opening prospects for regional cooperation and positioning Viet Nam as a hub for advanced fetal and personalized medicine in Southeast Asia and Asia.
