The official also hoped that during his tenure, the Armenian diplomat will play an active role in further promoting the development of the relationship between the two countries and legislatures.

For his part, Kazhoyan proposed Vietnam and Armenia actively step up the exchange of delegations, especially high-level ones, to further beef up the bilateral ties across many spheres, including trade and tourism.

While informing his host about the Armenian NA’s establishment of the Armenia-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarian Group, he hoped that the Vietnamese side’s counterpart would soon be set up.

The ambassador proposed the Vietnamese NA support Armenia's early acquisition of the observer status in the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), contributing to stronger parliamentary ties between the country and the bloc in general, and between it and Vietnam in particular.

Some activities to promote friendly relations and cooperation between Vietnam and Armenia include organizing business connections between the two countries, promoting the establishment of the Armenia-Vietnam Friendship Association, establishing direct flights between the two countries, and opening the Armenian consulate office in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Vietnamese people always remember the gratitude and valuable help the Armenian Government and people gave to Vietnam during the years of resistance and struggle for national independence. They helped train thousands of scientific and technical staff for Vietnam, creating important resources for Vietnam in the work of building and developing the country.

Nguyen Van Thuan emphasized that in the coming time, the Association will organize activities to connect Vietnamese and Armenian businesses in fields suitable to the potential and needs of both sides, such as agriculture, high technology, digital transformation.

According to Ambassador Vahram Kazhoyan, to deepen the cooperation between the two countries in the field of economics and trade, the Armenian Embassy in Vietnam will continue to coordinate closely with Vietnamese agencies in some issues such as establishing direct flights between the two countries and opening the Armenian Consulate office in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Armenian Embassy also sent to the competent authorities a draft Memorandum of Understanding between Gyumri-Ho Chi Minh City and Vanadzor-Da Nang.
