Firstly, HI card holders can use VSS’application "VssID - Digital Social Security" to look up the card validity, the process of participating and enjoying HI, the participants need to install the application on their smartphone and register an account to use the application.

Secondly, through the VSS Portal, people access the website https://baohiemxahoi.gov.vn/tracuu to look up HI card information.

Thirdly, through VSS’ Call Centre: People call the hot line 1900 9068 for information.

Fourthly, through the receipt of household HI premium payment: When paying for household HI premiums, the participants receive a receipt that clearly states the expiry date of the participant's HI card. Based on this information, participants can know their HI card’s expiry date and then, promptly renew the card when the card is about to expire.

Notably, for those who have participated in household HI, while the household HI card is still valid, they are granted another group of HI cards in the order prescribed by the Law on Health Insurance, it is necessary to immediately notify insurance premium collecting organisations where they buy household HI or the nearest social insurance agency for guidance. The collector is responsible for refunding the duplicate payment of household HI premiums following regulations, to ensure the legitimate interests of HI participants.
