Vietnam Public Sector Union organises meeting to review work in 2019 and set tasks for 2020

In 2019, the Vietnam Public Sector Union at all levels underwent reforms and innovation, focusing on practical activities and key functions, thus gaining comprehensive results and contributing to the country’s achievements.
The Vietnam Public Sector Union resolutely implemented the Resolution of its 5th congress and the Resolution of the 12th congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; carried out the campaign ‘Civil servants, public employees and cadres say no to wrongdoings’ and the movement ‘Civil servants, public employees and cadres execute cultural norms at work’; and implemented a resolution on improving quality of patriotic emulation movements and campaigns.
Unions at all levels also organised many activities. They recorded encouraging results in building related laws and policies and inspecting, supervising and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the unions’ members and workers. Information dissemination and organisation of emulation movements were renovated. They also effectively participated in building and strengthening the Party and State.
In 2020, with the theme ‘Improving operation of unions at grass-root levels’, the Vietnam Public Sector Union set the following tasks: ensuring strong development in quality and efficiency of operation of unions, focusing on comprehensively improving the quality of unions at grass-root levels; speeding up the implementation of resolutions of union congress at all levels; and organising activities celebrating important events of the Party and country in 2020.
The Vietnam Public Sector Union has launched an emulation movement for 2020.
On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour and the Vietnam Public Sector Union awarded and honoured individuals and organisations for their outstanding achievements in 2019./.
