PM: To soon promulgate the amended Law on Health Insurance and the amended Law on Medical Examination and Treatment

The Government Office has just issued Notice No. 113/TB-VPCP on the conclusions of the Prime Minister at the meeting with the Ministry of Health (MoH) on the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic; key issues, urgent contents to be resolved and recommendations and proposals.

In particular, PM has directed the MoH: to accelerate the completion of the process for early promulgation and effectively organize the implementation of two significant legal documents, namely the amended Law on Medical Examination and Treatment and the amended Law on Health Insurance. To coordinate with relevant agencies to constantly improve the legal framework and mechanisms and policies in the direction of promulgating criteria and standards for stronger decentralization along with strengthening supervision, inspection and violation handling; to mobilize, manage and more effectively use the available materials and human resources; and to mobilize non-state resources to participate in taking care of and protecting people's health.

In addition, in this Notice, the PM also sets out a number of other key tasks such as:

- To urgently develop and implement the key task at this time, which is the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic; to by all possible and fastest and effective measures access the source and purchase the vaccine, organize mass vaccination at the earliest for the entire population;

- To resolutely implement synchronous solutions to overcome the situations that are negative, harassing and cause troubles to the people; to timely conduct emulation and commendation; to apply strict discipline against right people at the right circumstances, etc.

- The recruitment must be based on the needs and suitable for the job position, so that there is no local redundancy.
