At the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha highly appreciated the cooperation of ILO in support Vietnam in establishing and building the legal policies namely: Labour Code, social insurance, work safety, social security… About ILO Vietnam, the Deputy Minister said that Vietnam had the closely relationship, accompanier, sharing and support each other positively in work, especially in building the harmonious, sustainable and progressive labour relationship.

In the new context of aging population and 4.0 industrial revolution, the Deputy Minister recommended that ILO would continue supporting Vietnam in renewing social insurance, developing the high quality human resource, building the harmonious labour relationship, improving the capacities for the tripartite partners, linking the labour supply-demand, training new vocational skills, protecting vulnerable groups, towards the sustainable employment for all people.

Thank for the warm welcome of the Deputy Minister, with the role of the sponsor of ILO, Mr. Henrik Vistisen congratulated Vietnam for the implementation of the strong innovation in improving the harmonious labour relationship, developing the labour market and improving the quality of vocational education for labourers. He appreciated Vietnam for the application of the knowledge of ILO in that progress.

At the meeting, the two sides has exchanged on the number of the mutual interested issues, such as: the method of effective investment of ILO with the Vietnam’s Programs; the technical cooperation activities between the two sides; opinion and agreement of the social partners, local governments with the deploying activities; the route of ratifying the ILO’s international Convention…
