Vietnam has welcomed 12.6 million international tourist arrivals this year, far exceeding its whole-year target of eight million, up 3.4-fold against the year-ago figure, yet equivalent to 70 percent of the pre-pandemic level in 2019, according to statistics released on Friday by the General Statistics Office (GSO).

Regional minimum wage to increase by 6 per cent next year
According to the change, the wage in the Region 1 will be adjusted from VNĐ4.68 million (US$192) to VNĐ4.96 million ($204) per month. The 6 per cent increase is equivalent to a rise of VNĐ250,000 in Region 2, and VNĐ220,000 and 200,000 in Regions 3 and 4 respectively.
