According to Department of HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control, in the first nine months of 2019, 7,779 new HIV cases were reported, increasing the total number of HIV-positive people to nearly 212,000. By October 2019, 41,191 HIV/AIDS-infected patients have received ARV treatment offered by the health insurance fund; nine provinces including Tuyen Quang, Kon Tum, Binh Dinh, Ha Giang and Hung Yen have successfully provided the full coverage.

From November 01st – 02nd, 2019, in Bangkok, Thailand, the 22nd Conference of ASEAN Socio-Cultural Communnity, the 2nd periodical Conference in 2019 of the Community, was held in order to consider, agree results, documents of ASCC and submit to the 35th ASEAN Summit.
