Seminar updates policy, shares communication experience on social security

A seminar on policy update and experience sharing on the dissemination of social security was held by the Vietnam Social Security (VSS) and the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) on October 31 in the northern province of Thai Nguyen.

A seminar on policy update and experience sharing on the dissemination of social security was held by the Vietnam Social Security (VSS) and the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) on October 31 in the northern province of Thai Nguyen.

The event was attended by VSS Deputy General Director Tran Dinh Lieu and Director of the Department of Social Insurance under the MoLISA Pham Truong Giang, along with representatives from affiliates of the VSS, the social security agency of the Ministry of Defence, and the social security agencies and Departments of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of various localities including Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang and Thai Nguyen.

At the seminar, participants heard information on some issues of social security policy through reports of representatives of the Department of Social Insurance and the VSS. They also took note of several matters in the implementation and dissemination of the social security policy.

Delegates also discussed and reviewed contents that need to be amended in legal normative documents on social security, as well as regulations on procedures and competencies of Vietnam’s social security sector, aiming to enhance the implementation of social security policy for the insured.
