Accordingly, from January 1, 2020, participants in voluntary social insurance are supported with 20% of the monthly social insurance premium based on the poverty line of rural households applicable in each period prescribed by the Prime Minister. The supporting period is from 2020 to 2025.

Subjects of application are workers who have permanent residence in Ha Tinh province doing freelance jobs and have unstable incomes; workers in agricultural, forestry, fishery and salt production households participating in voluntary social insurance at the social insurance of districts, cities and towns in the province.

With this Resolution, Ha Tinh is one of the first provinces in the country to have policies to support participants in voluntary social insurance; showing the interest of local authorities for social security policies in general and for freelance workers in particular. This will be a motivation and an important impetus to quickly increase the number of people participating in social insurance in the area in the coming time to achieve the percentage of social insurance participants under Resolution No. 28-NQ/TW of May 23, 2018 of the Central Executive Committee of the 12th term on social insurance policy reform./.
