A total of 45 Health Insurance cards and 10 Social Insurance (BHXH) books were personally handed over to the residents in difficult circumstances in Hop Thanh commune, Lao Cai City, Lao Cai Province

Emphasizing the significance of the Program for Granting Social Insurance Books and Health Insurance Cards, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Social Security (VSS), Dao Viet Anh, shared his desire for community involvement and collaboration from social enterprises. To ensure more people facing difficulties can participate in social insurance and receive health care through Health Insurance cards, on November 29, 2023, the Director General of VSS signed and issued Plan No. 4033/KH-BHXH to organize the program nationwide.

In Hop Thanh commune, Lao Cai City, Lao Cai Province, Deputy General Director Dao Viet Anh, along with local government representatives and sponsors, directly handed over 45 Health Insurance cards and 10 Social Insurance books out of the total 50 Social Insurance books and 600 Health Insurance cards to those in difficult circumstances in the city. The remaining Health Insurance cards and Social Insurance books will be delivered to the residents by the Lao Cai Province Social Security Office.

On this occasion, on behalf of the leadership of the VSS, Deputy General Director Dao Viet Anh expressed deep gratitude to the sponsors, especially seven banks: Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank), Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank), Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade of Vietnam (VietinBank), Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Military Bank (MB), PVI Insurance, and Vietnam Post Corporation. These organizations demonstrated high humanitarian spirit and accompanied the VSS in social welfare activities and the program to provide social insurance books and health insurance cards to those in difficult circumstances.

At the same time, he expressed the desire for the local authorities to continue to pay attention and guide social and health insurance work in the area, aiming to increase the number of people participating in the humanitarian safety net, an excellent policy of our Party and State.

Speaking at the program, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lao Cai City, Ngo Vu Quoc, highly appreciated the practical efforts of the VSS and the sponsors in timely support, encouragement, and assistance to the people through this meaningful and practical program. "Through the social insurance books and health insurance cards given today, we contribute to creating a deep sense of peace and trust in the people towards the social insurance policies of the Party and the State," he emphasized. In the coming time, Lao Cai Province will continue to strengthen communication activities—the key to bringing social and health insurance policies into life, contributing to weaving a sustainable social safety net in the province.
