MOLISA replies to questions about salary, social insurance
If a person has retired but still works, does he/she need to continue making social insurance contributions? If a person is working in two companies at the same time and pays social insurance premium in a company, how are his/her social insurance benefits in the other company calculated? Are irregular bonuses included in the amount of income to calculate social insurance premiums? Those are some questions sent to the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) for answer.

Measures to ensure sustainable social welfare for labourers in informal economic sector
According to the General Statistics Office (Ministry of Planning and Investment), there are great numbers of labourers in the informal sector, including those working in agriculture and rural areas, free labourers, and labourers in household economy and small production and trading activities. They have significantly contributed to national food security, and the production of goods for domestic consumption and export, while generating jobs for other labourers. They have contributed about 30 percent of the national GDP.

Support planned for 3,000 female workers impacted by pension adjustment
During the eighth session of the National Assembly's Committee on Social Affairs in Hanoi on April 23 morning, congressmen discussed and questioned social insurance policy, the use and management of social insurance fund for 2017. They mentioned the adjustment of pension for female workers that took effect on January 1, 2018 in accordance with the Social Insurance Law 2014, under which nearly 3,000 female workers have their pension lowered, down 6-10 percent compared to social insurance payees that retired in 2017. The issue has been of public concern over the past time.
