On September 11, Chung led a delegation to inspect administrative reforms at Ha Noi Social Security and Department of Health.

Regarding the proposal by Ha Noi Social Security on boosting data processing capabilities and improving network equipment to ensure the stable operation of its data centre, Chung recommended hiring a specialised agency to reduce expenditure on maintaining severs and to pilot the “non-office” model. 

On the same day, the city’s head paid a visit to Ha Noi Department of Health. According to the department’s report, administrative procedures in the health sector have been simplified to create favourable conditions for people and enterprises.  

From 2016 to May, 2019, the department had 332 administrative procedures including 122 which were dismissed.

Moreover, since the start of 2015, the department has reduced the time for granting practice licences and medical examination and treatment operation licences in half, from 60 days to 30 days for a practice licence and from 90 days to 45 days for a medical examination and treatment operation licence.

From June 1, 2018, thanks to the deployment of public service level 3 at which the applicant can fill in and submit the forms online, the department continued to cut the time for granting practice licences from 30 days to 10 days. Ha Noi High-tech and Digestive Centre has earned revenue, contributing to the common development of Ha Noi’s health sector.

Wrapping up the visit, Chung said the city authorities have tried to improve the quality of life for people. Besides planting more trees and improving waste treatment, Ha Noi has collaborated with partners to receive and buy the latest technologies to take care of people’s health. People living in disadvantaged and polluted areas need to report to the city authorities for solutions, he said./.
