My social insurance payment had been interrupted for 2 months during my time moving from the old working place to the new one. If so, will it affect my rights in the future? If yes, can I pay a supplement? The period was in 2018.
According to the provisions of Clause 5, Article 3 of the 2014 Law on Social Insurance, period of social insurance premium payment means a period counted from the time an employee starts paying social insurance premiums to the time he/she stops such payment. In case an employee pays social insurance premiums in interrupted periods, his/her period of social insurance premium payment is the total of such periods.
According to the above provision, your period of social insurance premium payment will be accumulated with the later participation time of social insurance to serve as a basis for calculating the entitlement to social insurance when you are eligible as prescribed. For the 2-month interrupted period in 2018 due to you moving jobs, there is no regulation for compensation for that period if you do not work under any unit for those 2 months.
