Vietnam Social Security has just issued Official Letter No. 4179/BHXH-DVT to social insurance of provinces and cities directly under the Central Government, Social Insurance of the Ministry of Defense and Social Insurance of People's Public Security on ensuring adequate supply of drugs for patients with health insurance.

Based on the assessment of the domestic and international context, the perspectives and objectives of developing a flexible and short-term voluntary social insurance package, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs has proposed to have three additional voluntary social insurance packages besides the existing social insurance policy.

At the invitation of South Korean President Moon Jae-in, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his wife and the high level delegation of the Vietnamese Government will attend the ASEAN - Korea and Mekong - Korea Commemorative Summits and paid an official visit to Korea from 24th to 28th November 2019. The Government issued Decision 1676/QĐ-TTg on November 21 on a master plan to comprehensively renovate contents, forms and methods to disseminate information on social insurance. In order to reform social insurance information dissemination comprehensively, the plan also puts forwards implementation measures.
