According to Notice No. 167/TB VPCP dated June 23, 2021 of the Government Office on the conclusion of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at an online meeting on the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic, the epidemic is under control, but in some localities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Binh Duong, the situation is complicated and difficult to predict; Some provinces are at high risk of outbreaks anywhere and anytime.

Therefore, in order to ensure full, timely and safe payment for pensioners and beneficiaries of social and unemployment insurance, as well as promote the sense of responsibility and the whole political system to prevent the COVID-19 epidemic, VSS proposes Vietnam Post and social security agencies of provinces and centrally-run cities to implement the following contents:

1. To pay pensions and social insurance allowances of July and August 2021 in the same payment period.

2. The provincial social insurance agency shall coordinate with the provincial post office, based on the epidemic situation of each locality, to develop a plan to organize payment to the beneficiaries in cash to ensure safety in accordance with the objectives and directions of the Prime Minister.

3. The Vietnam Post and the social security agencies of the provinces shall continue to implement the instructions in Sections 2 and 3 of Official Letter No. 1135/BHXH-TCKT dated April 29, 2021 of the VSS on payment of pensions, monthly social and unemployment insurance allowances during the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control period.

The VSS also requests the Vietnam Post and the social security agencies of provinces to seriously implement the contents of this document. During the implementation process, may any difficulties or problems arise, they should promptly report to VSS for guidance and settlement.
