This is the voluntary contributions of all public servants in the whole Industry, which express the spirit of solidarity and the sense of responsibility of the industry with the desire to make efforts and join hands with the Party, the State and the People to be determined to repel the COVID-19 epidemic, and ensure social security, safety for the lives and health of the people.

In the face of the complicated and prolonged COVID-19 epidemic situation, in addition to ensuring the full implementation of benefits for participants of social, health and unemployment insurance, VSS has always closely monitored the situation of the epidemic prevention and control to promptly make proposals to create maximum support conditions for participants in enjoying social, health and unemployment insurance policies.

As soon as the 4th phase of the COVID-19 epidemic broke out, VSS has promptly directed the provincial social security agencies to actively coordinate with relevant units to best ensure the benefits of medical treatment for health insurance cardholders, as well as paying pensions and social insurance benefits in May and June 2021 in the same payment period in May; proposed the Ministry of Health (MoH) to agree on the use of the health insurance card image on the "VssID - Digital Social Insurance" application in medical care under health insurance nationwide, from June 1, 2021, and at the same time, to integrate and supplement public services of the Industry (re-issuance of social insurance books and health insurance cards; relocation of pension enjoyment; registration of transaction accounts for children, etc.) on the VssID application in order to help people avoid face-to-face transactions and limit travel in transactions with the social security agency, or benefit from social and health insurance policies, etc., thereby along with the whole political system contributing to actively preventing and controlling the COVID-19 epidemic.

In 2020 alone, besides flexible solutions such as: coordinating with the Department of Health and medical facilities in the area to create maximum favorable conditions for patients with health insurance cards to receive timely medical treatment or referrals when suspected of being infected with the COVID-19 virus; support to temporarily suspend social insurance contributions to the retirement and survivorship fund for businesses affected by the COVID-19 epidemic; implementing unemployment insurance for employees who are unemployed due to the epidemic, etc., the Vietnam's social insurance industry also donated 2 billion VND in support of "The fund for COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control" through the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Thereby, contributing to deepening the tradition of mutual love and affection of all civil servants of Vietnam's social insurance industry towards people throughout the country to overcome difficulties and epidemics.
