General Director of Vietnam Social Security Nguyen The Manh appointed

as Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Social Security Board of Commissioners

Specifically, in Decision No. 769/QD-TTg, the PM decided to appoint Mr. Nguyen The Manh, General Director of VSS to hold the position of Permanent Vice Chairman of the VSS Board of Commissioners, replacing Mrs. Nguyen Thi Minh (former General Director of VSS) who has retired.

According to current regulations, the VSS Board of Commissioners helps the Government and the PM direct and supervise the activities of the VSS and advise on policies on social, unemployment and health insurance.

The Board consists of representatives of heads of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, Vietnam Farmers' Association, General Director of VSS and other members prescribed by the Government.

The Board of Commissioners shall have a Permanent Chairman and Vice Chairman and members that are appointed, relieved from duty or dismissed by the PM at the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs; The term of office of the members of the Board of Commissioners is 5 years.
