Speaking at the Conference, Mrs. Duong Ngoc Anh, Deputy Director of Customer Service Center (VSS), said that on November 16, 2020, VSS officially announced VSSID - Digital social insurance, an application on a mobile device platform, which helps participants of social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance to access information, perform public services, step by step replacing the social insurance books and health insurance cards.

After 4 months of deployment, VSS has continuously upgraded its applications, added utilities, and enhanced user experience such as: Adjusting the function of using health insurance cards on the application; online public service integration; connecting notification system on the application with SMS system, increasing interaction between application users with the social insurance agency. In the coming time, users will be able to choose to use multiple languages (Vietnamese, English, Korean, Chinese, Japanese), which meets the requirements of international integration in the field of social security.

At the conference, representatives of the IT Center gave basic information about the features and utilities of the VssID application such as: Personal management - Health insurance cards, participation process, enjoyment information, management of medical report books; online public services; online lookup; information on the policy; feedbacks, recommendations, etc., which were actively discussed among delegates attending the conference, also questions were promptly and fully answered by the VSS.

After more than 4 months of implementation, the country has reached nearly 1 million downloads, installs and users of the VssID application. At the beginning, the application got a rating of the average score of 1.6/5 (5 is the maximum score) on 2 application stores. Up to now, after more than 4 months, with efforts to add gadgets and improve user experience, the average score of the application achieved is is 4.2/5 on Google Play and 3.6/5 on AppStore. It shows that users are gradually satisfied with the quality, features and utilities provided by the VSS on the application.

In addition to positive reviews for the application, through monitoring and operating the application, VSS has also received comments and feedbacks from units across the industry, directly from users (on the application stores), via social networks and from media agencies and the press with the expectation that the application will increasingly be complete, modern and user-friendly, meeting the practical needs of participants and beneficiaries of regimes and policies of social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance.

In order to provide more features and services for people on VssID, in the coming time, the missions are: to continue to build and issue regulations on management and operation of VssID; to review and perfect features and interfaces to improve user experience. At the same time, integrating utilities such as: calculating the payment level of voluntary social insurance, household-based health insurance, and health insurance for pupils and students; to calculate the rate of pension and social insurance allowances when the participant is eligible; additional features and utilities to remind the schedule of taking medicines or periodical check-ups, etc.

Thanks to the application, participants of social, health and unemployment Insurance can be aware of the process of participating and enjoying policies, and at the same time self-monitor and protect their welfare benefits right on their smart phone devices.
