Accordingly, pursuant to Resolution No. 1111/NQ-UBTVQH14 dated October 9, 2020 of the Standing Committee of the 14th National Assembly on arranging administrative units at district and commune levels and establishing Thu Duc City under Ho Chi Minh City; Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 89/2020/ND-CP dated August 4, 2020 defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of Vietnam Social Security (VSS) and at the request of the Director of Department of Personnel and Organization (VSS).

VSS has made the following decisions:

Establishment of Thu Duc Social Security Office on the basis of merging the Social Security Offices of District 2, District 9 and Thu Duc District directly under the Social Security Office of Ho Chi Minh City. Thu Duc Social Security Office has its own legal status, seal and account, and the head office is located in Thu Duc city.

The functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Thu Duc Social Security Office comply with the provisions of Decision No. 969/QD-BHXH dated July 29, 2019 of the VSS General Director.

The decision takes effect from February 1, 2021./.
