Speaking at the conference, Mr. Dao Viet Anh said that in 2020, meanwhile the country were undergoing important events in a volatile international context, VSS has firmly marked a milestone after 25 years of construction and development. “With the participation of the whole political system, the efforts of all officials, civil servants and employees, VSS have earned remarkable achievements, thereby, step by step affirming the policy of social insurance and health insurance is the main pillar of the social security system, contributing to the implementation of social progress and equity, ensuring socio-political stability and socio-economic development of the country." - Anh emphasized.

The Deputy General Director acknowledged the efforts of the subjects implementing the external information activities in the industry, the affiliated units, the social security authorities of the provinces and centrally-run cities, and highly appreciated the coordination between the ministries, departments and branches that have contributed to promoting the image and raising the position of VSS nationally and internationally.

According to Anh, promoting success in three consecutive years 2017, 2018 and 2019 and holding the leading position of government agencies in PAR and IT application of the industry have achieved various positive results in cutting administrative procedures, building databases, issuing social insurance codes and providing online public services.

Especially, at the beginning of last week, the launching ceremony of "Digital social insurance application on a mobile device platform - VssID application" is a progress contributing to the implementation of assigned tasks in Resolution No. 28-NQ/TW of the seventh plenary session of the 12th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) on social insurance policy reform and timely provision of information on social, health and unemployment insurance policies so that users can see the human values ​​of welfare policies of the Party and State, creating "a great inspiration for the actors in the innovation, creativity and digital transformation ecosystem in our country".

“In the coming time, the units under VSS and the social security authorities of provinces and centrally-run cities and each employee working on the work of external information will join hands to study and determine the method and direction in accordance with the orientation policy and practical requirements of the period in order to bring the fiscal space of the external information work into full play, serving the development of the industry with the motto "promoting creativity and making continuous efforts", he emphasized.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh, Director of International Cooperation Department, said that over the past time, the work of external information in the social insurance industry has achieved numerous positive results, been increasingly going into depth, nature and efficiency. In the context of Vietnam extensively participating in the process of regional and world integration as well as the strong impact of the Industry 4.0 and freedom of labor movement, external activities of the social insurance industry have always been implemented on the basis of the Party's point of view and direction and the system of policies and laws of the State.

In addition, VSS has also participated in various diplomatic activities, expanding partnerships with many organizations globally. This has created a premise for the officers of external information work to improve their position, creating a professional, modern, dynamic and creative image of the Vietnamese social insurance industry, as a friend and a reliable partner of the international social security society, etc.

In addition, VSS also regularly focuses on updating and fostering knowledge, skills on foreign affairs, international integration and external information for key staff and the team of focal staff in charge of external information centrally and locally; organizes the training of English for external communication and specialized English to activate working skills for staff of the social insurance system, as an effective tool for international integration, cooperation and implementation of external information activities; has actively sent the industry's focal point staff to participate in training courses on external information, foreign affairs, receptionist, press, etc. to help the staff improve their external skills and knowledge, etc.

At the conference, the delegates discussed in groups on solutions to implement external information work in the period 2021-2025. Accordingly, to focus on the requirements of external information in the new stage; necessary skills to perform the work of external information; problems in implementation at the local social insurance authority, etc. They were in agreement to focus on consolidating and improving the quality of operations of the team of focal officers in charge of the external information work; to specifically guide the external information activities at the local social insurance agency. At the same time, to equip more knowledge and skills to propagate policies on social, health and unemployment insurance for the contingent of officials and collaborators in charge of communication in the whole system, ensuring more and more professionalism, improvement of quality, operation efficiency, etc.
