ASSA video conferencing includes three sessions:

- Plenary session: Opening the Conference and presentations from member organizations, representatives of the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the International Social Security Association (ISSA) to share practical experiences on the topic of “Extending social security coverage”.

- ASSA Executive Board meeting: Discuss and report the results of activities in the framework of the ASSA Action Plan for the term of 2019-2020 and suggestions for the future.

ASSA 35 took place in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa Province

At this conference, Vietnam Social Security will have a presentation at the plenary session about "Sharing experiences in ensuring social security for people and businesses in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic". In particular, within the framework of the conference, Vietnam Social Security will be honored to receive the award from the ASSA’s Chairman for the category named "Sustainable innovation" and the content of "Vietnam Social Security to develop participants for voluntary social insurance".

Vietnam Social Security has joined ASSA since September 1998 and is currently the official and only member of Vietnam at the regional social security forum. In the process of joining ASSA since its establishment until now, Vietnam Social Security has always played an active role in implementing cooperation activities among ASSA's member organizations.

Participating in ASSA activities has helped Vietnam Social Security to access and update international knowledge and experience in order to improve and develop the current social insurance policy implementation system in a way of professionalism, modernity and efficiency and towards international integration in the spirit of Resolution No. 28-NQ/TW dated May 23, 2018 of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam on social insurance policy reform.
