With these 02 online payment services, users can pay for themselves or their relatives, which will be applied for agents collecting social insurance and health insurance premiums in the near future.

Vietnam Social Security Portal today would like to give instructions on performing 02 online payment services on the National Public Service Portal:

1. Online payment of household health insurance re-subscription:

Step 1: To get access to this service, please log in to the Portal. (If you do not have an account, you can easily register an account on the Portal).

Step 2: On the Menu at the Home page, select "Online Payment" and then choose "Payment of social insurance and health insurance".

Step 3: In the screen below, select “Household health insurance re-subscription”.

Step 4: Enter the health insurance card code, then select the number of months you would like to re-subscribe and start searching. (In this step, please note that the code must belong to the person participating in household health insurance (the first 2 characters are "GD"). If you enter the code of another person, there will be warning on the system).

After entering the correct information, the screen will display the search information according to the entered health insurance card code.

Here, please select the beneficiary bank of the social insurance agency (you may choose the bank where you opened your account to avoid paying the interbank money transfer fees). Next, click "Pay".

Step 5: Once you click on the "Pay" button in the previous step, the Payment Platform screen will be displayed for you to choose the Bank or a payment intermediary where you own an account.

For example, select ‘Vietcombank’ then click "Pay".

The system will navigate through the Internet Banking page of Vietcombank.

Step 6: Log in to your Bank account to proceed the payment.

Step 7: The system will display the transaction information again for your confirmation. If the information is correct, click the "Confirm" button.

Step 8: Confirm the transaction by entering the OTP code sent to your phone.

Step 9: Once the payment is successful, the system will navigate back to the interface of the Portal with the message "Transaction Successful".

Now, the health insurance cards of yours or your relatives have been successfully re-subscribed. The owner of the card will receive a message from VSS informing him or her of the new expiry date of the card.

On the screen above, you can "Download Receipts" or view "Transaction History". The transaction information will be saved in the history for your later transactions.

2. Online payment of voluntary social insurance payment continuation

This kind of service is similar to household health insurance card re-subscription.

Step 1: After logging into the National Public Service Portal and select the “Online payment/Payment of social insurance, health insurance”, select "Voluntary social insurance payment continuation".

Step 2: Enter the social insurance code and click the "Search" button (if you do not remember the social insurance code, you can click the "Search social insurance code" button).

If you enter the correct social insurance code, the information of the participant, the payment method, the payment time and the social insurance agency will be displayed for you to check.

Here, select the beneficiary bank of the social insurance agency. Next, please click "Pay".

Step 3: The screen of Payment Platform will let you choose the Bank name or the payment intermediary where you open your account to proceed the payment.

For example, select Vietcombank and click "Pay".

The system will navigate through the Internet Banking page of Vietcombank.

The steps on your bank's Internet Banking interface are similar to Steps 6, 7, 8 as in the service of household health insurance card re-subscription.

Once the transaction is successful, the system will navigate back to the interface of the Portal with the message "Transaction Successful".

Those are the instructions to perform 02 services of online payment of social insurance integrated and provided on the National Public Service Portal.

According to Report No. 5257/BC-VPCP dated June 30, 2020 of the Government Office on the results of operating the National Public Service Portal in the second quarter of 2020, if the majority of participants in voluntary social insurance and only 50% of people participating in household health insurance proceed online payment, more than VND 930 billion on transportation costs will be saved each year.
