State budget covers health insurance for more groups

Relatives of civil servants and soldiers, who are serving under the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Public Security and the Government Committee for Cipher, have received health insurance cards, covered by the State budget since May 1, 2020.

The new regulation came under the Decision No 505/QĐ-BHXH, issued by the Vietnam Social Security on March 27.
The decision aims to amend and supplement some articles on the process of collecting social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance as well as management of social insurance books and health insurance cards in the country.
Additionally, the decision, which has officially come into effect since May 1 nation-wide, also said that office-bearers, clergies, monks and people living in social protection centres, who do not receive financial supports from the State budget to cover health insurance payment, could participate in household health insurance./.
