Ha Tinh Province: 100% of people living with HIV/AIDS are granted health insurance cards

The People's Council of Ha Tinh province has just issued Resolution No. 178/2019/NQ-HDND providing regulations on payment of health insurance premiums for people living with HIV/AIDS who do not have health insurance cards and support the cost and payment of HIV antiretroviral drugs (ARV) for people living with HIV/AIDS for the period 2020-2025 and subsequent years in Ha Tinh province.
Specifically, from January 1, 2020, HIV/AIDS-infected people who are supported to buy health insurance cards are those who are certified by HIV/AIDS authorities and named in the list of management of HIV/AIDS-infected people by the HIV / AIDS Prevention and Control Department of the Ha Tinh Center for Disease Control.
People living with HIV/AIDS with health insurance cards who are supported to pay ARV drugs are those who participate in ARV treatment at provincial health facilities and HIV/AIDS prisoners at detention centers, prisons, etc.
The norm of support for payment of health insurance cards for people living with HIV/AIDS is 100%; the level of support for cost sharing and ARV drugs is 100% of personal expenses.
***According to statistics of the Center for Disease Control in Ha Tinh, currently, the whole province of Ha Tinh has detected 1,822 people infected with HIV, of which, 877 people turned to AIDS and 388 died from AIDS./.
