The resolution stated that as the basic monthly wage will be raised to 1.49 million VND, pensions, social insurance entitlements, monthly allowance for those who are subsidized by State budget, and allowance to veteran revolutionaries will increase as equally as the minimum wage rise from July 1, 2019.
Ministries and agencies at central and provincial levels are asked to continue following regulations on creating financial resources for wage reform in tandem with saving expenditure and re-arranging their apparatus, streamlining personnel, and enhancing financial autonomy of non-productive public agencies.
The central budget will cover costs of the adjusted pensions, social insurance entitlements, monthly allowance for those who are subsidized by State budget, and allowance to veteran revolutionaries; supports the demand for paying an additional wage hike amount of ministries and central and provincial agencies which are unable to balance their financial resources as stipulated by the Government.
After covering demand on wage hike, localities are advised to use the remainder of their financial resources used for wage reform to implement social welfare mechanisms and policies. The central budget will provide additional funds for provincial budgets in case of shortages in line with regulations./.
