Implementing the Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Republic of Korea on social insurance of Vietnam social securrity industry in 2024

Vietnam Social Security (VSS) has just issued Plan No. 1374/KH-BHXH dated May 13rd, 2024 on implementing the Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Republic of Korea on social insurance of Vietnam social security industry in 2024.
Accordingly, the Plan aims to deploy and organize comprehensive, serious and effective implementation of the Agreement, the Administrative Agreement on the implementation of the Agreement and the Agreement on the Implementation of the Agreement and the tasks of the Vietnam social security sector which were assigned at the Decision No. 436/QD-TTg.
During the implementation process of the Agreement, ensure comprehensive and correct implementation of commitments, responsibilities and obligations, ensure the rights of workers who are covered by the Agreement.
Determine specific work content, completion deadline and responsibilities of units under VSS, social security ofifces of provinces and cities in implementing the assigned tasks.
The plan requires that implementing the Agreement shall ensure close relation and synchronous coordination with the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, relevant ministries, branches and Korean partners in implementing the Agreement.
The units under VSS, Social Security Offices of provinces and cities on-schedule and effectively organize the assigned tasks.

To achieve the above purposes and requirements, VSS requires supporting units and non-business agencies, social security offices of provinces and centrally-run cities, in addition to regular tasks, in the coming time, it is necessary to concretize and implement some of the following main tasks: (1) Participate in policy and law development; (2) Continue to discuss and carry out the Implementation Agreement related to social insurance subjects; (3) Discuss, agree and sign an Implementation Agreement on settlement and payment of social insurance benefits under the regulations of the Agreement; (4) Conduct information, propaganda, and dissemination of the contents of the Agreement, Administrative Agreement, and Implementation Agreement; (5) Conduct trainning and fostering civil servants and public employees to meet the requirements of effectively implementing the Agreement and Administrative Agreement; (6) Praise and reward groups and individuals who have had with outstanding and typical achievements in implementing the Agreement and signed agreements.
To effectively implement the Plan, VSS requires VSS’s units and provincial Social Security Offices to proactively review and add tasks on implementing the Agreement and signed agreements into the units’ working program and plan.
The International Cooperation Department is assigned to be the focal unit, in charge of urging and implementing specific tasks under the 2024 Agreement Implementation Plan of the sector; Summarizing and reporting on the results of implementing the Plan under regulations. Presiding and coordinating with international partners to implement this Plan.
VSS requests Heads of units under VSS and Directors of provincial Social Security Offices, based on the functions and tasks of the units and assigned tasks assigned in the Implementation Plan, to ensure progress, quality and efficiency; Report to VSS (via the International Cooperation Department) before November 30th, 2024 on the results of implementing the 2024 Plan./.
