With the cross-cutting point of view of "Taking the people, businesses as the subject and the service center", the VSS industry always strives to fully, timely and properly ensure the interests of participants and beneficiaries. In particular, in the context of the whole country being affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, the pivotal role of social and health insurance policies in the social security system continues to be promoted, contributing positively to stabilizing people's lives, creating more confidence in the humane social security policies of the Party and State.
Timely grasping difficulties, accompanying workers and businesses, over the past year, the VSS has continued to actively coordinate with competent authorities to advise and propose to the National Assembly and the Government to issue many solutions to support workers and businesses affected by the Covid-19 epidemic. At the same time, it focused on mobilizing all resources, on the basis of available IT data, promoting extensive communication to employees and employers to promptly and transparently deploy support packages from the social and unemployment insurance funds, which have been delivered to employees and employers quickly, concisely and accurately.
Accordingly, by the end of December 31, 2022, the whole industry has supported and reduced the payment from social and unemployment insurance funds to employees and employers, bringing the total amount of support to over 47,200 billion VND, accounting for 54.3% of the total Covid-19 support packages of the Government. In which, 99.3% of employees receive support via bank accounts out of a total of over 13 million employees who are entitled to a cash support package from the UI fund.
