The Government has just issued Resolution No. 44/NQ-CP at the regular Government meeting in March 2024 and the Government's online conference with localities.

In particular, the Government assigned the Ministry of Home Affairs to preside over and coordinate with agencies and localities:

Chair and closely coordinate with the Ministries of Finance, Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, National Defense, Public Security and relevant ministries and agencies to urgently and thoroughly complete the Proposal and Report to the Politburo on the specific contents of the new salary regime, pension adjustments, social insurance benefits, preferential benefits for meritorious people and social assistance, ensuring quality and progress. Proactively develop regulatory documents and specific work to implement the new salary policy.

Urge localities to complete dossiers and timely organize appraisal for projects to arrange administrative units of localities under regulation.

Synthesize the results of building and approving job positions of ministries, agencies and localities, focusing on clarifying difficulties, obstacles, inadequacies and proposed solutions, reporting to the Prime Minister of the Government before April 25, 2024.

Chair and coordinate with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and relevant ministries, agencies and localities to prepare the launching ceremony of the emulation movement "Erase temporary houses and dilapidated houses" across the country to the year 2025.

The Government agreed to the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs to stop development of the following projects: Project for urban government organization model under the provincial level; Project to evaluate the organization and operation of commune-level government for the period 2016 - 2021, its development orientation to 2030; Project on linking commune-level officials and civil servants with district and provincial levels./.
