Attending the conference were comrades in the VSS' Executive Committee of the Party Committee, the Secretary, and Deputy Secretary of the Party organizations.

In the past time, the VSS' Party Committee has always been proactive, closely following the direction and guidance of the Party Committee at higher levels, synchronously implementing all aspects of work; and basically completing the targets and tasks. Accordingly, it has promptly organized propaganda and popularization of the Resolution of the fifth plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee; Conclusion No. 21-KL/TW on Promoting the building and rectification of the Party and the political system; resolutely prevent, repel and strictly handle cadres and party members who have degraded in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle, exhibiting "self-evolution", "self-transformation" and the directives and resolutions of the Government of higher level committees to affiliated party organizations for research and dissemination to cadres, party members and the masses.

The planning of party committees at all levels for the 2020-2025 term and the planning at all levels for the term 2025-2030 have been reviewed and supplemented; directing affiliated branches to organize cell congresses for the term 2022-2025 in accordance with regulations, etc. Besides, the Party Committee signed a Memorandum of Understanding to connect and support Linh Thong commune, district Dinh Hoa, Thai Nguyen province in poverty reduction in the period of 2022-2025.

Regarding political tasks, the VSS' Party Committee has closely coordinated with the party committees of the VSS to lead and direct the effective implementation of the targets and tasks. By the end of September 2022, the number of participants in social insurance reached 17.24 million (34.84% of the labor force in age); 87.5 million participants in health insurance, reaching 87.42% of the population. Accumulated in the first 9 months of the year, 69,696 people have been settled for retirement, survivorship, occupational accidents and occupational diseases; over 8.5 million turns of people enjoying sickness, maternity, convalescence, and health rehabilitation regimes; settled 669,261 turns of people receiving unemployment benefits, 14,321 turns of receiving vocational training support; guaranteed payment for over 108.25 million medical visits.

At the Conference, the delegates also heard and thoroughly understood the objectives, requirements, and some basic contents in Regulation No. 58-QD/TW dated February 8, 2022 of the Politburo on a number of issues on the topic of protecting internal Party politics; reported on the advantages, disadvantages and operation situation of the first 9 months of 2022 of mass organizations and agencies; discussions of the Party cells and Party committees focused on analyzing and clarifying the advantages and disadvantages in implementing the 9-month party work tasks and the last 3 months of 2022's tasks.

Addressing the direction and conclusion of the Conference, Mr. Nguyen The Manh, Secretary of the Party Committee, and General Director of the VSS recognized and appreciated the efforts of the assistance and advisory boards of the Party Committee, party organizations, and mass organizations in implementing tasks in the past 9 months.

Emphasizing that the work plan in the last months of 2022 is considerably weighty, Comrade Nguyen The Manh asked members of the Executive Committee, secretaries of affiliated party organizations, and mass organizations to focus on developing the role and responsibilities of the leader; synchronously and urgently implement the tasks and solutions, determined to successfully and comprehensively implement the assigned tasks in 2022.

Overview of the meeting

The 35th Steering Committee of VSS continues to strengthen the protection of the ideological foundation of the Party, fight against false and hostile views; promptly grasp information and public opinion about the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, pressing issues that are concerned by officials, party members, and the people. The Information and Communication Center and the Social Security Magazine shall strengthen news and propaganda articles on the contents of the Party's directives and resolutions, the work of building grassroots party organizations, and improving the quality of party members.

For mass organizations, it is proposed to continue promoting the achieved results, innovating the mode of operation and improving the quality of all aspects of work, patriotic emulation movements, campaigns and donations by launched by all levels and associations to strengthen the nation's tradition of solidarity and mutual affection in the new situation of the country according to the stipulated principles, purposes, and charters; continue to mobilize and gather union members and members to unite and actively perform the political tasks of agencies and units.
