In order to implement the Coordination Regulation No. 01/QCPH-BCA-BHXHVN between the Ministry of Public Security and the VSS on performing the tasks of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, and fighting against crime In the field of social and health insurance, the police and the municipal social security agency made an agreement to exchange and provide information and documents related to the work of ensuring security and order according to their functions, tasks and powers.

At the same time, the two units will coordinate to carry out tasks related to such contents as ensuring internal political security, cyber security and State's secrets in the units under the municipal social security office; coordinating in building a national database on social insurance and population; ensuring security and safety of important events chaired and advised by the municipal social security office; implementing regimes and policies on social, unemployment and health insurance for police officers and soldiers, public security workers, people working under labor contracts, and relatives of police officers and soldiers, and relatives of police workers; Fighting against crime and law violations; Building, maintaining and developing the movement of the whole people to protect national security at the city's social security office and units under the office; Coordinating personnel work, training, fostering, coaching, specialized professional training; Organizing the inspection, urging, preliminary and final review of the implementation of the Regulation, etc.

Over the past time, the coordination between the City Police and the City's Social Security Office has contributed to raising the awareness of law observance of organizations, individuals and businesses in the fields of social, unemployment and health insurance.

Specifically, in 2018, the two units coordinated to inspect 05 units and requested arrears for 230 employees with an amount of more than 930 million VND. In addition, one case of receiving ill-health benefits in the false amount of VND 9.5 million was withdrawn.

In two years (2018 and 2019), the City's Social Security Office coordinated with the City Police to inspect the Saigon Shipbuilding and Repairing Factory Co., Ltd. due to outstanding debt and recovered the debt of more than VND 44.9 million, recovering the false amount of social insurance benefits of 2.1 million dong.

In the period of 2017-2021, the City's Social Security Office has transferred to the police agency to verify and handle many related violations for handling in accordance with the law. Typically, the City's Social Security Office has filed a petition to prosecute the act of evading social and health insurance contributions with 84 units with a total debt of VND 158 billion. Thereby, 43/84 units have recovered the amount of 42.2 billion dong.
