The signing ceremony was co-chaired by General Director of Viet Nam Social Security Nguyen The Manh and the newspaper’s Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh.

Accordingly, the two agencies will strengthen cooperation in the communication of social and health insurance policies in order to convey the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws on social and health insurance to all classes of people.

The newspaper will renovate the content and form of media products on social and health insurance policies on the newspaper’s multimedia communication channels, including print newspapers, electronic newspapers and television.

The coordination is expected to improve efficiency so that more people and employees can participate and enjoy the benefits of social and health insurance policies in the future.

At the ceremony, a representative of the newspaper briefly reported on the results of the cooperation between the agency and the newspaper in the 2015-20 period.

The report said the newspaper has focused on promoting communication on social and health insurance policies and laws – the mainstay of the country's social security system.

It introduced the position, role, functions and tasks of the agency in implementing policies and laws on social, health and unemployment insurance, with outstanding results to people throughout the country.

The newspaper also provided information, creating a professional, reliable and dynamic image of the agency to the international social-security community.

Notably, in the 2015-20 period, the newspaper strengthened the dissemination of typical examples and good models in implementing social, health and unemployment policies.

The newspaper has constantly improved the quality of press products and publications to create new forms of expression to attract readers.

Between 2015 and 2020, under the cooperation of the two agencies, the newspaper and its Television Centre carried out 270 special pages of "Social Insurance and Life"; nearly 1,600 news, articles and Q&As in printed and electronic newspapers; as well as more than 500 news reports and topics on television to disseminate the policies of social and health insurance as well as activities of the insurance sector.

Speaking at the ceremony, Manh said the coordination in disseminating policies and laws on social and health insurance between the two agencies has always been proactive, timely and effective with diverse and appropriate content and forms in accordance with the guidelines, policies and laws of the Party and State on social and health insurance.

Manh also said thanks to the dissemination from local media, especially Nhan Dan newspaper – a national media agency with a wide coverage of information and distributed to people across the country, the implementation of social and health policies and laws has achieved outstanding results.

Also at the meeting, the Nhan Dan newspaper’s Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh said the two agencies have been working closely and effectively in disseminating social and health insurance policies.

The newspaper, with the advantage of large coverage to remote areas across the country, has performed its role as a “bridge” bringing the guidelines of the Party, policies and laws of the State on social and health insurance to life; raising public awareness and strengthening the confidence of all classes of people in the country's social security policy system, Minh said.

It also encourages people to actively participate in social and health insurance; aiming toward the goal of universal health and social insurance for all employees, he added.

The two leaders of the agencies said that under the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the trend of multimedia communication and media convergence posed great challenges to the operation of the two agencies’ communication activities.

They also said that communication must be considered "the key" to effectively increasing the number of people participating in social and health insurance. At the same time, it is also the voice of criticism and supervision so that social and health insurance policies can really come to life.
