Speaking at the ceremony, VSS General Director Nguyen The Manh said that for years, under the leadership of the Party and State, the efforts of all levels of Party committees, authorities, localities, ministries, branches and the participation of political organisations, society, the business community, workers and people, as well as the companionship and active support of the press agencies, especially the Voice of Vietnam, the implementation of policies on social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance has achieved important results.

During the 2015-2020 period, VOV and VSS worked closely to effectively implement the co-operation programme agreed between the two agencies on promoting communication about social insurance and health insurance policies. Accordingly, VOV always identified reporting the implementation of social insurance and health insurance policies as an important task, renewing the content, form and improving the quality of the programme and selecting a broadcasting time that attracts large audiences.

Nearly 2,000 programmes, 3,000 articles and more than 5,000 stories about social insurance policies, health insurance and activities of the Vietnam social insurance industry were posted and broadcast on VOV, showing the close and effective coordination of the two agencies, Manh said.

Emphasising the position and role of the VOV, Manh said that he believed the Co-operation Regulation signed between VSS and VOV will continue to be successfully deployed, bringing greater efficiency and making an important contribution to the development of social insurance and health insurance.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Director of VOV Do Tien Sy said that, with the responsibility of being a major national press agency, for many years, VOV closely followed the content under the orientation of VSS to quickly and accurately provide information, guidelines and policies on social insurance, health insurance and the VSS’ innovative activities.

"VOV will support VSS to increase the frequency of news, articles and reports on social insurance, health insurance, contributing to attracting participants and spreading social security policies," Sy said.

He asked VSS to actively provide information to VOV reporters and editors on social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance policies, especially on the development of participants in voluntary social insurance, supervision and management of the use of social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance funds, prevent profiteering from health insurance funds.

Under the witness of delegates and guests, at the ceremony, the General Director of Vietnam Social Insurance and the General Director of Voice of Vietnam Radio signed the Regulation on coordination in the communication of policies and laws on social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance for the 2022-2026 period.

Under the newly-signed co-operation regulation between the two agencies, they will strengthen the relationship to convey the guidelines and policies of the Party and the State's laws on social insurance and health insurance, contributing to raising awareness of all sectors and people at all levels and strata in the process of formulating, perfecting and implementing policies. Communication programmes will be renovated to increase quality and further reach people.
