At the meeting, General Director Nguyen The Manh assessed that 2021 is a year that the whole country in general and the Vietnamese social insurance industry had been heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. In that situation, under the leadership and direction of the Party, National Assembly, Government, Prime Minister, Party committees and authorities at all levels; the active coordination of agencies, organizations, the whole VSS Industry has united, determined and made great efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges; turned difficulties and challenges into opportunities. And up to now, the whole Industry has still been fiercely trying to implement the targets, tasks and plans set out for the year. Today is the last day of 2021, all levels of VSS will be determined to complete those targets, tasks and plans.

On behalf of industry leaders, General Director Nguyen The Manh respectfully appreciated and praised the results achieved by the Dong Da Social Security Office, the Hanoi Social Security Office in particular and the whole Industry in 2021; In particular, the whole industry has successfully implemented dual goals: both completing targets and tasks in difficult and challenging conditions, and successfully and effectively implemented policies to support employees and employers affected by the Covid-19 epidemic according to the Resolutions and Decisions of the National Assembly, the Government and the Prime Minister, leaving remarkable impressions.

General Director Nguyen The Manh also acknowledged and shared with the difficulties, pressures and hardships of all officials, civil servants, public employees and workers in the whole industry over the past time. They had to work day and night without days off to complete the huge workload and tasks assigned. However, General Director Nguyen The Manh noted, on the last day of 2021, local social security agencies need to review all the remaining targets to be determined and try to complete today. In particular, support policies for people, employees, and employers must be completed and delivered to beneficiaries no later than 24 hours today. At the same time, the local social security agencies must have a plan to implement the 2022 task from the first day, especially the implementation of new policies with a proactive and drastic spirit.

In addition, Manh noted that with the more holidays and Tet holidays for the Vietnam's social insurance industry, the more tasks there would be to be implemented to ensure continuous benefits for units and participants of social, health and unemployment insurance. Therefore, Manh suggested that the whole industry shall uphold the sense of responsibility with the motto "taking the people and businesses as the service center". Local social security agencies must have a layout plan to operate throughout the holidays, in order to ensure the best service for people, workers and businesses, in the immediate future it is the 3 days of New Year's Day in 2022. Especially, performing the task of issuing and exchanging health insurance cards for people who need medical examination and treatment and emergency during this time. This is a vital task, besides other important tasks, therefore, the first day of the new year is usually a busy day, without a break for social security agencies across the country.
