Amid the complicated development of COVID-19, especially in the southern region, the document emphasised the urgent need to implement the support package for employers and employees under the Government’s Resolution 68 dated July 1, 2021 and Decision No 23/2021/QĐ-TTg dated July 7, 2021 issued by the Prime Minister.

According to the document, due to social distancing, employers and employees face difficulties related to application documents of the support package.

In case the employers and employees have documents related to the suspension of work contracts or work leave without payment, they can use those documents in the application.

In case of diseases or cause of force majeure, employers and employees can reach an agreement in written form or in other forms such as by phone, text message or email.

The MOLISA has asked the people’s committees of central-level cities and provinces to order all-level sectors to disseminate the policies to employers and make a list of employees qualified for the support package.

They have been urged to deliver the package to employees, especially those working at businesses with a high number of labourers in quarantine and locked down areas.

The ministry has also ordered relevant agencies to reduce application assessment and approval time to create conditions for employers and employees to soon access the support package./.
