Adjustments to calculation of pensions for female workers retiring from 2018 – 2021
The Government has issued Decree No. 153/2018/ND-CP to adjust the amount of pension a female employee who retires from 2018 to 2021 and has paid social insurance premiums for 20 to 29 years and six months shall receive.

VSS’s achievements by 31 October 2018
According to a report from the Viet Nam Social Security (VSS), as of October 31, 2018, Vietnam had 14.19 million people taking part in compulsory social insurance, 251,000 people with voluntary social insurance and 12.13 million people with unemployment insurance. The number of health insurance card holders reached 82.33 million or 87.62 percent of the population.

Ensuring rights, interests of the insured is ultimate purpose of health insurance
In recent times, public opinions have focused on the accumulated surplus of the health insurance fund worth up to nearly 39 trillion VND, with concerns growing as to whether the rights and interests of health insurance participants have been limited in order to maintain the fund. Dao Viet Anh, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam Social Security (VSS), has granted an interview to the press to clear up the concerns.
