Support for UXO victims to buy health insurance
Victims of unexploded ordnance (UXO) left from wartime will receive support to buy health insurance. This is one of the important contents of Decree 18/2019/ND-CP on the management and implementation of activities settling post-war UXO consequences that was recently issued by the Government and will take effect on March 20, 2019.

Voluntary insurance network sets goal of additional 200,000 enrollees in 2019
The implementation of social insurance policies have achieved positive results in recent times. However, there are still some shortcomings that require further reform to ensure all employees are involved in the social insurance system. According to statistics, Vietnam currently has 271,000 out of 34 million workers participating in voluntary social insurance.

MoLISA proposes to increase pension, social insurance allowances for 8 groups
The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) is drafting a decree to adjust pension, social insurance and monthly allowances. Accordingly, from July 1, 2019, the pensions, social insurance and monthly allowances of eight target groups will increase by 7.19 percent.
