12.5 millions of employees received support from Unemployement Insurance fund in the whole Vietnam
According to VSS’ statistics, up to Dec 13th 2021, social security in localities paid unemployment insurance benefit from unemployment insurance (UI) fund to 12,546,036 employees (including: 11,552,036 employees are participating UI; 994,312 employees stopped UI participation) with the sum of VND 29.671 thousands of million.

Vietnam and South Korea signed a bilateral social insurance agreement
On December 14, in Seoul (South Korea), under the witness of National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Le Minh Khai and leaders of a number of NA 's agencies, on behalf of Vietnam's Government - Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung and Korean Minister of Health and Social Welfare Kwon Deok Cheol signed a bilateral agreement on social insurance between Vietnam and South Korea.

NDO – Nearly 2.4 million workers and 81,589 units in Ho Chi Minh City have been provided with cash relief totalling over 5.6 trillion VND (US$245.2 million) from the Ho Chi Minh City Unemployment Insurance Fund as of December 27.
