Viet Nam Social Security focuses on 3 core areas, implements 7 specific tasks

This was the concluding direction of Minister of Finance Ngo Van Tuan at the working session on Vietnam Social Security's performance of tasks in 2025 and in the first half of 2026, and its orientations and tasks for the second half of 2026 and the 2026-2030 period.

Social Security has gained more than 350,000 foreign contributors in a year and exceeded 3.4 million in June

Contributors from other countries now account for more than 15.4% of all national insurance contributors. "Foreign contributors support strategic sectors such as care, agriculture, construction, hospitality, transport and healthcare, and we can see this in the sector-by-sector employment figures," explains Minister Elma Saiz.

According to the municipal Department of Health, as of July 20, a total of 732,873 residents had undergone periodic check-ups and had electronic health records established. The figure reflects encouraging initial results from the citywide campaign launched by the department and underscores local authorities' commitment to implementing one of the largest community healthcare programmes ever undertaken in the southern metropolis.
