To strictly strengthen occupational safety from October 2020

The Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs has just issued Circular No. 06/2020/TT-BLDTBXH on promulgating the List of occupations subject to strict requirements on occupational safety and health (OSH).

Accordingly, in addition to 17 occupations subject to strict requirements on occupational safety and health as currently prescribed in Circular 13/2016/TT-BLDTBXH dated June 16, 2020, from October 5, 2020, the list will be updated as follows:

1. Directly manufacturing and processing building materials, chinaware, porcelain, glass and plastic.

2. Directly cutting, sawing, extracting and processing industrial wood; regular manual handling of objects weighing 30 kg or more.

3. Directly cooking or processing food at collective kitchens providing serving capacity of 300 rations each day.

4. Professional rescue.

5. Medical examination and treatment; taking care of disabled and sick people; pathology, forensic examination and micro-biological testing; occupations in pharmaceutical industry.

6. Direct operation of petrol, oil and liquefied petroleum gas pumps; repair of petrol and oil tanks, and delivery, receipt, wholesale and retail of petrol and oil.

7. Direct processing of rubber latex and resin.

8. Directly operating production and processing of beer, spirits, soft drinks, tobacco, cooking oil, confectionery and milk.

9. Circus, animal circus performers; professional athletes, professional fitness and sports coaches.

10. Directly doing cremation and burial work.

These do not apply to Vietnamese employees working abroad under contracts./.
